Absences and blocked time

Holidays, sick leave or a doctor's appointment go in as an absence or as blocked time. Customer bookings stay as they are, because they aren't tied to a mechanic. Move the work on the cars on the bay board instead.

Absence (owner and managers)

1. In Team open the mechanic's page.
2. Under Absence pick the from and to dates and enter a reason, such as holiday.
3. You'll see the shifts that will be cancelled. Click Record absence.

The mechanic is notified about the cancelled shifts.

Blocked time (mechanics)

• A break in a shift: in My shifts add a break to an accepted shift. You can always do this.
• Time away from the workshop: in the account menu open My account and workshops, and in My week click Block out time. Workshops only see that you're busy, never where or why. Shift offers that clash with it are flagged.

Tell your manager about a longer absence so they can record it in the app.
