Bays and bay types
For: owner and manager
Updated October 28, 2026
Bays are where a car stands while it's worked on: a lift, alignment, tyres, a wash. They are the columns of the Board, and tyre bays are in the calendar too.
Adding a bay
- Open Bays in the menu and click Add bay.
- Enter the Name and a Short code, e.g. L1. The code shows in the calendar and on the board.
- Choose the Type.
- Capacity: how many cars the bay takes at once. Usually 1. On a tyre bay, this many tyre bookings can run at the same time.
- If needed, pick a Colour, the Order on lists and add Notes.
- Click Save.
Mark a bay that's out of action for a while as not in use (untick In use). Archive one you no longer need with Archive: it disappears from lists and you can bring it back with Restore. A bay with planned bookings can't be archived.
The number of active bays sets your subscription plan. When the plan is full, you need to change the plan before adding another bay.
Bay types
The Bay types page lists the built-in types: Lift, Wheel alignment, Tyres, Diagnostics, Wash and Other. You can rename them but not delete them. Add your own with Add type and delete it once no bay or service uses it.
The Tyres type is special: its services book time on a tyre bay instead of a drop-off window.
