Bay board

For: everyone

Updated October 28, 2026

The board shows which car is on which bay, who works on it and when. A booking says when the car arrives, while the board plans the work itself.

Reading the board

Columns are the active bays, rows are the opening hours of the chosen day. Each block is a job: plate, car, number, mechanic and stage. Use Previous day, Today and Next day to change the day. The board refreshes by itself every 30 seconds.

The Not planned list shows received cars without a plan, with the problem, the ready-by time and the planned duration.

Planning (reception and managers)

  1. Drag a job from the list onto a bay and time, or click Plan.
  2. Check Bay, Mechanic, Day, From and To, then save.

The duration comes from the job's labour hours (1 hour if there are none yet), rounded up to 15 minutes. The mechanic is suggested from the first labour line. Drag a block somewhere else, or click it to change it or choose Remove from board. One job can have several blocks, e.g. over two days.

Overlaps

The board doesn't block overlapping blocks, because work runs over. When two blocks take the same bay or the same mechanic, both get a warning, and after saving you see what they overlap with.

Mechanics

Mechanics see the board but can't change it.
