Parts and stock

For: owner and manager

Updated October 28, 2026

The list of parts you sell, with prices, margin and what's on the shelf.

Adding a part

In the Parts menu click Add part. Enter the Number, Name, Brand, Unit, Purchase price (net), Sale price (gross) with VAT and, if you like, EAN, Group and Minimum stock. If you set Parts markup (%) in Workshop settings → Jobs, a suggested sale price appears, which you accept with Use it. Margin is the net sale price minus the purchase price.

Stock

Stock isn't typed in. It comes from the movements on the part's page:

  • Delivery: a delivery with the net unit price. The purchase price changes to the price of the latest delivery.
  • Write-off: a quantity and a reason, e.g. a damaged part.
  • Stocktake: enter the counted quantity and we record the difference as a correction.

Movements can't be changed or deleted; fix a mistake with another movement. When stock drops to the minimum, the owner and managers get a notification, and the Low stock filter shows what to order. Archive a part you no longer need; its history stays.

Parts on jobs

Reception and managers pick a Part from stock on a Part line, searching by number, name or EAN. The name, price and VAT fill in by themselves. The part leaves stock when the line is marked done and comes back if that's undone. Stock can go below zero if the delivery is entered later. A part typed in by hand doesn't change stock.
